Loreen reprezintă din nou Suedia la cea de-a 67-a ediție Eurovision. Artista va interpreta piesa "Tattoo" și promite un moment de neuitat la Liverpool. Fanii o pot vedea în prima-semifinală a concursului, programată pe 9 mai, marea finală având loc pentru 13 mai.
Loreen a devenit cunoscută publicului suedez după ce a participat la ediția din 2004 a concursului Idol. În 2005, a lansat un single, "The Snake", împreună cu formația Rob'n'Raz. Tot în 2005, a devenit prezentatoare TV la postul suedez TV400, după care a lucrat ca producător și regizor pentru diferite reality show-uri.
În 2011, artista a revenit în atenția publicului când a participat la Selecția Națională a Suediei pentru Eurovision cu piesa "My Heart Is Refusing Me". Cântecul nu s-a calificat în marea finală, dar a fost lansat ca single și a devenit hit, obținând locul 9 în clasamentul național suedez.
În 2012, Loreen a fost aleasă să reprezinte Suedia cu piesa "Euphoria". Nu doar că a câștigat competiția, dar melodia s-a clasat în topurile muzicale și a rămas pe locuri fruntașe mai multe săptămâni la rând, o situație rar întâlnită pentru o melodie câștigătoare a concursului Eurovision. În același an, Loreen a lansat albumul de debut intitulat "Heal". Cinci ani mai târziu, artista a prezentat publicului cel de-al doilea material discografic - "Ride". De-a lungul anilor, cântăreața a continuat să se dezvolte artistic, explorând noi modalități de a-și exprima creativitatea. Loreen a fermecat publicul cu vocea ei, cu stilul unic și versurile captivante.
InfoMusic: Ce anume te-a făcut să revii pe scena Eurovision?
Loreen: Voi. Aș spune că cea mai mare inspirație a mea sunt oamenii. Pentru că am simțit că oamenii au devenit atât de fericiți în jurul meu când am spus că aș putea face asta din nou. Și tocmai acel răspuns a devenit scopul meu. Am fost: "bine, așa o să fac" și se simte incredibil de bine.
InfoMusic: Simți că oamenii au așteptări mai mari de la tine având în vedere faptul că ai câștigat concursul Eurovision în 2012 și dacă da, cum reușești să păstrezi o atitudine degajată?
Loreen: Motivul pentru care fac asta din nou este pentru că cred cu adevărat că am ceva de oferit. Deci, pentru mine nu este vorba despre succes, ci despre comunicare. Cu toții suntem creatori și avem un scop. Cu toții avem creativitate în noi și ar trebui să o împărtășim. Aș spune că ideea de competiție este ca o piesă de teatru. Este o piesă frumoasă pentru că include oameni, așa că nu aș vrea să scot asta din ecuație, să fiu sinceră. Este o parte importantă pentru că îi sprijinim pe cei pe care îi iubim. Presiunea mea, sau cum o numesc eu, disciplina mea este să fiu un slujitor al creativității și să creez ceva care sper să fie autentic pentru voi. Și îmi place asta.
InfoMusic: Ce ai învățat din participarea anterioară de la Eurovision?
Loreen: Cred că Loreen din 2012 ar veni la Loreen din 2023 și ar spune "știi ce, am câteva lucruri de spus". Și Loreen din 2023 ar răspunde "Am și eu câteva lucruri să-ți spun. Ar fi trebuit să te bucuri mult mai mult". Glumesc, dar vreau să spun că acum sunt mult mai înțeleaptă decât înainte, așa că eu ar trebui să-mi spun mie că "acesta nu este sfârșitul lumii. Acum va fi o călătorie din care vei învăța lucruri. Și vor fi suișuri și coborâșuri, dar ești pe drumul cel bun. Nu-ți face griji, e în regulă. Face parte din toată treaba". Asta mi-aș spune.
InfoMusic: Anul acesta reprezinți Suedia cu piesa "Tattoo". Care este povestea acestui cântec, ce mesaj vrei să transmiți lumii prin această melodie?
Loreen: Sunt îndrăgostită de piesa "Tattoo". Pur și simplu simt că are un scop frumos. Înglobează o anumită energie cu care oamenii rezonează. Așa că este frumos, iar eu pot să fac parte din el. Și sper că, atunci când vedeți interpretarea, să genereze energii pozitive în voi - speranță, putere, bucurie, creativitate. Și această energie și creativitate sunt medicamentul sau antidotul perfect pentru toată această minoritate de negativitate care se întâmplă în jurul nostru chiar acum. Aș vrea să spun minoritate pentru că majoritatea din jurul nostru este frumoasă.
InfoMusic: Cum îți imaginezi că va fi interpretarea ta live la Eurovision 2023?
Loreen: Ei bine, cu multă dragoste, multă lumină, multă bucurie, multă spiritualitate, multă natură. Vă puteți aștepta să dau tot ce am pentru că nu există cale de mijloc. Nu știu ce e aia. Așa că voi fi 100% eu, canalizând complet orice vine la mine - către voi. Pentru că sunt doar un slujitor al creativității, așa văd eu.
InfoMusic: Care este melodia ta preferată de la ediția de anul acesta?
Loreen: Oh, sunt efectiv atât de multe! Dar, am simțit o legătură deosebit de puternică atât cu cântecul Alessandrei (Norvegia) cât și al Blancei Paloma (Spania). Amândouă au doar ceva străvechi și puternic în vocile lor.
Käärijä din Finlanda este, de asemenea, uimitor cu a sa "Cha Cha Cha". Aduce asemenea energie și bucurie în fața publicului și îmi place să vad asta.
InfoMusic: Ce mesaj ai pentru fanii din România ai concursului Eurovision?
Loreen: Pentru susținătorii mei români, cei care se bucură de interpretare, cei care mi-au arătat dragoste și au un vibe pozitiv - Mulțumesc, vă mulțumesc pentru tot. Nu aș putea face asta fără voi. Este cea mai mare motivație a mea. Și știți ceva? Ne vedem la Liverpool, unde o îmi pun sufletul pe tavă. "Te iubesc".
InfoMusic: Care sunt planurile tale profesionale după întoarcerea de la Liverpool?
Loreen: Voi lansa mai multă muzică anul acesta. Cred că 2023 este un an muzical pentru mine în care va fi multă muzică nouă. Și apoi voi porni într-un turneu în această toamnă, care poate va continua până în primăvara anului 2024. Nu știu ce îmi mai rezervă viața. Presupun că va trebui să aștepți și să vedeți.
ENGLISH VERSION: Loreen, Sweden's representative for Eurovision 2023: "I would say my biggest inspiration is the people"
After the 2012's victory, Loreen returns to the stage of the Eurovision Contest with a new song, a new message, but with the same desire to win. The artist told us about this year's participation, about the live performance in Liverpool, but also about the Romanian fans.
Once again, Loreen represents Sweden at the 67th edition of Eurovision Song Contest. The artist will perform the song "Tattoo" and promises to deliver an unforgettable performance in Liverpool. Fans can watch her in the first semi-final of the contest, scheduled for May 9th, with the grand final taking place on May 13th.
Loreen became known to Swedish audiences after taking part in the Idol Contest 2004. In 2005, she released a single, "The Snake", with the band Rob'n'Raz. In the same year, she became a TV host at the Swedish channel TV400. After that, she worked as a producer and director for various reality shows.
In 2011, the artist returned to the public eye when she took part in the Swedish National Selection for Eurovision with the song "My Heart Is Refusing Me". The song failed to qualify for the final, but was released as a single and became a hit, debuting and peaking at number 9 on the Swedish Singles Chart.
In 2012, Loreen was chosen to represent Sweden with the song "Euphoria". Not only did it win the competition, but the song topped the music charts and stayed in the top spots for several weeks in a row, a rare situation for a Eurovision song. That same year, Loreen released her debut album titled "Heal". Five years later, the artist premiered the second record - "Ride". Over the years, the singer has continued to develop artistically, exploring new ways to express her creativity. Loreen has enchanted audiences with her voice, unique style, and captivating lyrics.
InfoMusic: What made you return to the Eurovision stage?
Loreen: You. I would say my biggest inspiration is the people. Because I felt people got so happy around me when I said that I might do this again. And that response just became my purpose. I'm like, okay, this is what I'm going to do, and it feels crazy good.
InfoMusic: Do you feel that people have higher expectations from you given the fact that you won the Eurovision Contest in 2012 and if so, how do you manage to keep a lighthearted attitude?
Loreen: The whole reason to why I'm doing this again is because I truly, deeply believe that I have something that I can give. So, for me it's not about success, it's about communication. We are all creators, and we have a purpose. We all have creativity within us, and we're supposed to send that out. I would say that the competition is a play. It's a beautiful play because it includes people, so I wouldn't want to take that out to be honest. It's an important part because we're rooting for the ones that we love. My pressure, or as I call it, my discipline is to be a servant of creativity and to create something that hopefully is authentic for you guys. And I love that.
InfoMusic: What did you learn from your previous participation?
Loreen: I think that 2012 Loreen would come up to the 2023 Loreen and, say "you know what, I have some things to say". And the 2023 Loreen would then say "I have some things to say to you. You should have enjoyed it much better". Just kidding, but I mean, I'm much wiser now than I was before, so it should be me saying to myself "that this is not the end of the world. Now it's going to be a journey, where you’re going to learn things. And it's going to be ups and downs, but you're on the right track. Don't worry about it, but it's okay. It’s part of the whole thing". That is what I would say to myself then.
InfoMusic: This year you represent Sweden with the song "Tattoo". What is the story of this song, what message do you want to tell the world through this song?
Loreen: I'm in love with "Tattoo". I just feel it has a beautiful purpose. With this song there is a certain energy movement created that people are resonating with. So it's beautiful and I get to be a part of it.
And hopefully, when you see the performance, it starts to generate positive energies within you - that you feel hope, that you feel strengthened, that you feel joy and that you feeI creative. And this energy and creativity is the perfect medicine or antidote to all this minority of negativity that is happening around us right now. And I would like to say minority because the majority around us is beautiful.
InfoMusic: How do you envision your live performance at Eurovision 2023?
Loreen: Well, a lot of love, a lot of light, a lot of joy, a lot of spirituality, a lot of nature. You can expect everything I have because there is no in-between. I don't know what that is. So, it's going to be 100% me, completely channelling whatever is coming to me - to you. Because I'm just a servant of creativity, that’s the way I see it.
InfoMusic: What is your favorite song from this year's edition?
Loreen: Oh there’s literally so, so many of them! But, I’ve felt a particularly strong connection with both Alessandra (Norway) & Blanca Paloma’s (Spain) song. They both just have some ancient & empowering in their voices.
Käärijä from Finland is also amazing with his "Cha Cha Cha" he brings such energy & joy to a crowd - which I love to see.
InfoMusic: What message do you have for the Romanian fans of the Eurovision Contest?
Loreen: For my Romanian supporters and the ones that enjoy the performance and have showed me love and have a positive vibe. Thank you. Thank you for everything. I wouldn’t to be able to do this without you guys. You're my biggest motivation. And you know what, I’ll see you in Liverpool where I'm going to give you my heart on a plate. Te iubesc.
InfoMusic: What are your plans as far as your career is concerned after your return from Liverpool?
Loreen: There's going to be more music this year. I think 2023 is a music year for me where it's going to be a lot of new music out. And then there's going to be this tour this fall, maybe continuing 'til spring 2024. And I don't know what more life has in store for me. I guess you’ll have to wait and see.
